As summer is finally just around the corner and better weather is on its way, we want to be out enjoying it and not stuck indoors. If you are stuck on what to do, or just want to try something new here are some fun activities to do in better weather.

So many activities to choose from

Go for a picnic

You can’t beat picking up a hamper of your favourite foods and heading out for a picnic. Great for a lazy afternoon with friends where you can just relax, chat and soak up the sunshine. You can take a picnic almost anywhere, and there are plenty of locations to choose from such as the beach, a local park or the woods.

Do some Outdoor activities

There are plenty of outdoor sports you can do in the sunshine depending on your fitness and activity levels. There’s football in the park or hiking up a trail. A favourite of mine is heading to an outside court and having a fun game of badminton

Spend a weekend camping

Once we have better weather and warmer nights camping is the perfect activity to do with friends or family. Packing up and spending a night in the great outdoors is super fun and great for the soul. You can go for a quiet pitch for full relaxation or you can go wild and head to a festival and party the weekend away.

Find a drive-thru movie

These are becoming more popular and you are bound to find an outdoor cinema somewhere near you. Normally showing classic movies is a wholesome way to spend time with friends. You can bring blankets, snacks and your favourite drinks with you. Some outdoor cinemas even show them on giant screens in the park whilst others you watch from the comfort of your car.

Go and watch the sunset

There’s nothing better than taking a road trip to a coastal area and sitting with your friends watching the sunset. You can even set up an iPad with loads of cosy blankets and enjoy a movie or some music whilst you take in the view and enjoy watching the sun go down. The great thing about this is you can add in whatever activities that you like.

Go on a nature walk

Walking is a great activity that suits most people as you can do as much or as little as you like, and there are hundreds of different trails and places to choose from. You can a short walk around local parks or woods, or challenge yourself to a longer harder trail. There are plenty of websites you will find with walking routes for you to pick based on your ability and where you want to walk.#
